LIKE ITS NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL

Before I continue I just want to say that I have NO problem with critiques. Fuck, by all means, i'd love it if you would critique my art and TELL me HOW to improve. I'm totally ok with that. However there are some lil' bchs that sometimes piss me off. 

Now again, I have NO problem with non-artist who critique artists. Unfortunately I have yet to seen one that doesn't make... well.. ridiculous critiques. I know there are non-artist who do fine critiques. (Also note that giving a critique and expression your opinion about something is not the same.)

One of the problems I have with non-artist critiques is that they're often too demanding. Or think THINGS NEED to have significance to the drawing. lmao no bitch, that's now how art works or what art is. Art belongs TO THE DAMN ARTISTS. Doesn't matter if it's fanart or original. Art comes from the artists mind. Wither it's obvious or not every art piece is personal to the artist. If the artist wants to add fucking red for no reason then GOOD. YOU GO! DO WHAT YOU WANT. AND THAT FUCKING RED TO YOUR ART REAAAAL GOOD. ART IS PERSONAL, IT HAS NO RULES, IT BELONGS TO YOU AND YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT.

That being said, one thing that REALLY fucking bugs me is when critiques (Again, I see it all the time from non artists) is that if a character has like, horns or something people may say it's "Unnecessary" bitch no it aint. If the artist is happy then GOOD. Art doesn't need a point because it's ART BITCH. IF THE ARTIST THOUGHT IT UP THEN ITS ART. 

I can understand these types of critiques if it was maybe a design that the artist is trying to profit from. Or like if there's a "human" character that just so happens to have horns or a tail with no explanation and everybody else just looks normal; Then that I can see. 

But if it's more like a character sheet or a piece of art and a character may have some type of horn/tail/wings, mask or anything like that then wHO CARESsssssss. I personally often find normal looking characters boring. It personally doesn't simulate my mind, and just leaves me feeling nothing. But again, tHATS JUST ME. I'M NOT GONNA TELL THEM THEIR OC IS BORING BECAUSE IT'S NOT MY TASTE IN DESIGN. 

I think that's my real problem here. Not so much giving constructive criticism about oc's. But it's when people(Again, again, 90% of time are non artist saying this) start to act like the artist HAS to cater to their PERSONAL opinions, and act it off like it's a legitimately IMPORTANT thing; when its not. 

As you guessed by now i'm not talking about the types of critiques that try to improve the art itself (E.x. Anatomy, proportions etc) But the critiques that talk about the art itself. If the artist is satisfied with their choices in color, design etc that's good enough 

Unfortunately a lot of non artist don't understand since well, they aren't artist (I'm obviously not talking about everybody btw. I just had a few deviants in mind while writing this.) I'm also not trying to say if you aren't a artist that you cant give critiques. By all means, go ahead . Just don't try to take over the artist is all i'm saying. 

And I know this rant is most likely going to give out the wrong intentions. I honestly can't really write down what i'm trying to say unless I show you examples, but I obviously don't want to say any deviants names or anything. I know this rant is a mess but it wasn't meant to be super compelling or mind changing. just wanted to let off some steam and thoughts I've had kept inside for a few months now.

I forgot this is a stamp lol. Yeah go ahead use it for whatever, I don't mind.
Also when I cuss i'm not trying to be insulting, I just personally find cussing less serious
